Ultra-Gor's "Triple-G"
(Great Gorilla Gallery)!!!
BINGO

For those who weren't alive yet, back in the year 1969 a great gorilla was discovered among a budding
musical group known as "The Banana Splits". They had their own Saturday morning T.V. show, combining
live action, great music, and animated cartoons. "Bingo" was the smart one in the group, always knowing
the answer to Fleegle's riddles. He also was the group's drummer, requiring major talent, and always wore
a flashy vest and cool shades. How he got his fur to be red and pink, Ultra-Gor is clueless!
FATZ GERONIMO

Showbiz Pizza Place, well-known through the 1980's and early '90's, had achieved its fame through their
all-animal, all-animatronic musical group, "The Rock-aFire Explosion". In the center of it all was Fatz
Geronimo, the keyboardist and sultry bass-singer. A little intimidating but really just a big, friendly,
multi-talented ape! True, he's a little on the pudgy side, but Fatz makes up for it in a BIG way with his
musical ability! Today, he can still be seen on YouTube with the rest of the band in some modern-day
musical numbers, and in a few spots on the east coast can still be seen LIVE! Chris saw him only once
in person back in 1983, but never forgot him! Through his insistance, Chris convinced Ultra-Gor to add
Fatz to the Great Gorilla Gallery.

MAGILLA GORILLA

Hanna Barbera created this famous gorilla back in the early '60s. Although not very smart and especially
not fashion-savvy, Magilla has a big heart which won the favor of Ultra-Gor. Mr. Peeble, the owner of the
pet shop where Magilla lived, never got his wish of selling Magilla and getting him out of the pet store
for good. Ultra-Gor guesses the oversized shoes and unattractive derby hat Magilla wore probably scared
prospective customers away!
IGOO

Another great gorilla dating back to the 1960's. The superhero team from another galaxy, known as "The
"Herculoids" entered Saturday morning cartoon history back in 1967. Igoo is the team's strong hand; a
huge gorilla with hide so impervious he was dubbed "the giant rock-ape". Though he could single-handedly
stop an armada of lizard-men or pound a mountainous spaceship to rubble, he still could gently and
lovingly hold a tiny injured marcalohnn(earth-equivalent to a sparrow)in his mighty arms. How could
Ultra-Gor NOT be impressed?
DONKEY KONG

If the "Big Monkey in Red" wore a hat, he would certainly do a "hats-off" for the "Big Monkey in the
Necktie"! No collage of great gorillas would be complete without "Donkey Kong", the strong, occasionally
sassy, clever, fun-loving future-ruler of Congo Bongo Island. Ultra-Gor saw alot of his younger-self in
DK's personality, and given time, DK will be giving UG stiff competition as to who the ultimate gorilla
superhero will be!
GUS THE GORILLA

Gorillas in the role of sports mascots are EXTREMELY rare indeed! In fact, the ONLY college in the
country with a gorilla mascot is Pittsburg State University in Kansas. "Gus" is a fine example of a great
mascot: full of energy, spirit, athletic ability, and self-confidence. And he often ranks in the top
ten at the National Mascot & Cheerleading Championships! Ultra-Gor hopes to someday get a chance to meet
this great mascot, if nothing else but to compliment Gus on his choice of school colors--red and gold!
Learn more about Gus at the official PSU website:www.pittstate.edu.
GIGANTE

Here's another rare example of monkey mascots:"GIGANTE"! He's brand-new in 2006 to the San Jose Giants
California League Baseball team, but he's already won the love of local fans. He's super-friendly,
got a winning smile, and really gets the crowd riled-up! Ultra-Gor was literally blown away when he
witnessed his wildly energetic dance moves on the field, making GIGANTE an instant favorite to the
"Big Monkey in Red". To see more of GIGANTE, go to:
San Jose Giants Homepage
Just by looking at the photos, it's no guess as to why the Phoenix Suns Gorilla, aside from being another
rare simian mascot, has been chosen by Ultra-Gor as another gorilla favorite. He started out humbly as
a gorilla-gram messenger at a Phoenix home-game. The audience loved him so much they wanted him back...
for good! When he's not wowing the crowds by doing daring stunts like slam-dunking though a hoop of fire
or roaring onto the court on a custom-made Harley-Davidson, he's out in the real world volunteering his
time for public events and worthy causes. What a guy! See more of his action at:
Phoenix Suns Homepage
ATTAR

This is "ATTAR", the biggest, brawniest gorilla from the most recent movie adaptation of "Planet of the
Apes". Although at the start of the movie he was seen as an enemy, eventually he was found to be the
victim of false information and treachary. Once he was enlightened to the truth, he admitted the error
of his ways and became a force for reunification between apes and humans. His potential for extreme
courage and loyalty made him an Ultra-Gor favorite.
BIG MAX!

If you think gorilla mascots are rare, try looking around the world for a gorilla superhero!! Ultra-Gor
thought he was all alone as the sole super-simian, until he came accross this guy: "BIG MAX"! In his
own comic book, Big Max lives in a world full of "silver-age comic" components: biting satire, visual
fighting words like "POW!" and "CRASH!", hero-nemesis clashes, and occasional touching dialogue between
him and his mentor or "unspoken" human girlfriend. He's still a little wet behind the ears when it comes to
being a superhero, but that just adds to his already ape-appealing charm. Order this comic directly
from "Mr. Comics" at:Mr. Comics.ca They also have brand-new comics
of "Planet of the Apes"!
TRACEY

Back in 1986, Filmation premiered its latest animated cartoon:"Ghostbusters". No relation to the
"Ghostbusters" movies, though. In fact, Filmation had the idea of busting ghosts long before the movies
came out, and won a huge lawsuit against the moviemakers. "Tracey" was the world's strongest gorilla
in this great but short-lived cartoon, and was the glue that held the team together. Even though he
could not speak except for short grunts, he was the smart one who drove the "Ghost Buggy" and operated the
machinery. And he looked great in his kakhy shorts & panama hat!
Monkeyman and O'Brien

Dark Horse Comics conjured up this magnificent gorilla in the mid-1990's as a limited-run comic book.
Like Ultra-Gor, Monkeyman, a.k.a. Axewell Tiberius, is from another world in a far away galaxy, possesses
extremely high intelligence, is super strong, but is gentle-natured. Standing almost ten-feet tall, one
could be grateful for that! But the difference between Axewell and Ultra-Gor is Ultra-Gor was sent to
Earth on a mission; Axewell was brought here by accident while trying to apprehend a fugitive in the
great expanse known as "the Terminus". Ann O'Brien, Axewell's confidant, has promised to reverse the
accident caused by her scientist-father, and get her big friend home again. Find out how by reading the
Dark Horse Comic, with Art Adams as the amazing artist/writer of this great title!
TEECEE

And lastly, there's this adorable blue ape:"TEECEE". He lives on Ultra-Gor's computer screen at home
as the official screen-saver for Ultra-Gor.com. When you click on him, he entertains you with many
different talents. When you're done, he finds numerous ways to entertain himself for your enjoyment.
One thing that confuses Ultra-Gor about TeeCee is how can a full-grown adult gorilla be so
multi-talented and still not be potty-trained(hence the wearing of the diaper)?? Anyway, you can get
a free downlaod of TeeCee for your computer by going to:
Oska Software
